General Electric (GE) acquired Commtest in August 2011. Commtest began in 1989 with the release of their first product, the Profiler data logger. Commtest Instruments is a recognized world leader, used by major industrial companies in over 20 countries. The next Commtest product was a fully portable data logger. First released in 1997, these instruments set new standards in three critical areas: measurement flexibility, ease of use and affordability. Always looking to scale new summits, the Commtest design team next created the vbSeries of vibration and balancing instruments, which debuted in April 1999. Following the same customer-focused vision, the vbSeries instruments are full featured yet easy-to-use vibration analyzers.
