Features of the rugged and compact HD2 includes the battery-saving GripSwitch™ power mode; a high-contrast 3.5” LCD screen; and the option of using alkaline batteries. This model has two aditional features built in: a VFL and a patch cord microscope.
The built-in microscope is designed specifically for patch cord inspection. Of course, the display also has an input for an external probe for bulkhead inspection with an A/B switch to change between the two inputs.
The built-in VFL allows you to locate fiber breaks or bends that will impact link performance.
