The system consists of an 8 channel input/output amplifier. DC input amplifier card, PA input amplifier card to which a voltage output accelerometer and a microphone can be directly connected, and an analog output amplifier are also provided.
The LX10/20 can be used as an 8 channel input/output unit, a 16 channel input unit, or as a 32 channel input unit when used in combination with an extendable unit.
Either a PC card or an MO can be selected as recording media, and the IEEE1394 or 100BASE-TX can be selected as an interface.
In addition to the per channel sampling rates ranging from a minimum of 1.5 kHz (record frequency band of 625Hz) to a maximum of 96kHz (record frequency band of 40kHz) rates such as a maximum 1/60Hz low-speed sampling (optional), 96kHz series sampling rate, 102.4kHz series one, a 100kHz series one, and a 65.536kHz series one can be selected (LX-20).
The LX-10/20 realizes a recording rate exceeding that of DAT. It offers 40kHz bandwidth (96kHz sampling) x 8 channel for direct recording onto a PC hard disk when using the built-in memory / IEEE1394, and also offers 20kHz bandwidth (48kHz sampling) x 8 channel when using a PC card/MO.
Voice memo input is possible, and is recorded as a WAV file. As well as through the unit, a Windows PC can be used to playback recorded sound
Post-processing is made easy by the Open and TEAC common file format (TAFFmat) which allows for direct viewing on a PC
Software, which controls LX20 and construction of data recording systems, as well as data post-process software, is offered by a number of venders.
Software for setup, real-time monitoring, and recording are included as standard attachments.
Even when a PC can not be carried due to vibrations, the unit can be operated by the color liquid crystal remote control.

Sampling Rate and Recording Time Formula (The following figures are the recording time-reference only) Recording time (sec) = (media capacity (Byte) x0.9) / [(number of recording channels x sampling frequency (Hz) x 2 )+8000] Media capacity x 0.9 : In terms of the overhead and header file storage capacity of media, it is calculated as 90%. When not using memo sound, change 8000 to 0 to make calculations. The maximum number of recording channels must fulfill requirements as per the following formula. Number of recording channels x Sampling frequency(Hz) x 2 = or <1.536MB (in case of memory recording or PC direct recording (IEEE1394)) Number of recording channels x Sampling frequency(Hz) x 2 = or <0.768MB (in case of PC card or MO recording) As for a tacho input channel, one tacho input is equivalent to one channel in 16-bit mode. One tacho input is equivalent to two channels in 32-bit mode.
